Our History
In 1999, after 10 years as a forester, Friedrich Huber bought an outdated sawmill – then known as Schwaiger.
Mr. Huber was convinced that he had the necessary know-how and passion to renew this sawmill and get started. Since the required financial resources couldn’t be raised, a bank had to grant him a loan.
By taking this risk, he laid the foundation for the company now known as Holz Huber GmbH.

Fifth anniversary
Installation of a new state-of-the-art band saw including a chipper
Jörg Huber joins the company

Burnt down sawmill due to a technical defect, temporary production stop
Rebuild of the sawmill
Gerald Huber returns from the UK and joins the company
Finished reconstruction and production restart
Purchase of a new truck to expand the vehicle fleet
